2nd Transnational Conference of the APP4INNOProject Partners

APP4INNO Project Second Transnational Conference will be held on Thursday and Friday, 4 - 5 April 2013, within the premises of the Cluj Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The event is aimed at performing a careful analysis of the Romanian agricultural sector as well as of the other South East European countries to participate in the project.

The analyses will focus on the activities already undertaken and on those completed by the date of the meeting.

APP4INNO Project’s main objective is the development of transnational networks for small and medium-sized agricultural enterprises, capable of developing innovative processes, in order to become permanent, or to mobilize a critical mass for strengthening agriculture over medium and long term period in the European context.

To this end, implementation of a transnational system is viewed, in order to support competitiveness and exploite agricultural SMEs innovation potential in all the regions involved as well as create the framework conditions for the SMEs to access innovation, technology transfer and co-operation opportunities. These are major needs for their keeping position on the domestic market and expanding into other markets.

The launch of the project took place during 24 - 25 October 2012, in the city of Pécs, Hungary. The Project’s full name is: "Establishment and promotion of new approaches and tools for the strengthening of agricultural competitiveness and innovation in the South Eastern Europe" to be implemented between October 2012 and 30 September 2014, with funding through the Transnational Co-operation Programme in South-East Europe.

The project leader is Veneto Agricoltura – the Regional Agency for Agriculture, Forestry and Food Sectors in the Region of Veneto, Italy. Altogether, the project involves 15 partners from Italy, Hungary, Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Serbia, Albania, Croatia and Ukraine.

In Romania the project is implemented by the Cluj Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

ClujCCI is a strong dialogue partner to state authorities in view of supporting the design of favorable economic conditions to enhance production, process and trade Romanian agricultural products, as well as inform, train and raise consumer awareness of the benefits brought about by agricultural development and cluster formation across this area.
